The Otters fell behind early netting two goals to the Pioneers four in the first quarter. After two goals from either team in the second quarter the hosts took a 6-4 lead into halftime.
CSUMB stumbled out of the intermission by scoring once in the third quarter to fall behind 10-5. However, the Otters made a push at a comeback in the fourth quarter, outscoring EB 4-1 in the final eighth minutes. But the comeback would fall short as time expired with CSUMB two goals behind, 9-11.
