Otters Take Top Spot On WWPA All-Academic Team

CSUMB places 22 on league’s academic honor roll

SEASIDE, Calif. — For the second consecutive year, Cal State Monterey Bay dominated the Western Water Polo Association's All-Academic Team with 22 members, as announced by the conference this week.

A total of 32 student-athletes were honored for their performances in the classroom, up from 96 in 2025. In addition to CSUMB's 22 total selections, Concordia followed with 20 and Biola added 18. McKendree and Salem led the East Region with 15 apeice.

To qualify for the WWPA All-Academic team, a student-athlete must have compiled a 3.0 cumulative GPA during full-time attendance for a minimum of one semester or two quarters during the current academic year.
