Senior duo led Otters to fourh-place finish

IRVINE, Calif. — Cal State Monterey Bay seniors Kaya Eaton (San Diego/Helix Charter HS) and Shea Tully (Yucaipa HS) capped the final appearances at the Western Water Polo Association Championship by earning All-Tournament honors Sunday at the Woollett Aquatics Center.

Eaton claimed first team honors while Tully was named to the second team. Eaton earned WWPA All-Tournament recognition for the third time. It's the first such honor for Tully.

Eaton scored four goals, with braces against both Gannon University and Salem University. Tully recorded two goals and two assists over the weekend.

The duo led the Otters to a fourth-place finish. CSUMB opened the tournament with a 15-13 win over Gannon in the quarterfinals. CSUMB fell to eventual champion Concordia University, 7–3, in a tough semifinal loss. Salem University rallied from behind to take a 12–7 win in the third-place match.

CSUMB finished a successful 2026 campaign at 13–17. It marked their most victories in a season since winning 17 games in 2012. The Otters' fourth-place finish was their eight Top 4 finish in the last 13 seasons.
