UCSD 20, CSUMB 8 -- BOX SCORE

GENEVA, Ohio --
The Cal State Monterey Bay women's water polo team ran into the buzz saw that is UC San Diego in semifinal game one at the WWPA Championship Tournament on Saturday afternoon as CSUMB had no answer for the Triton offense. Morgan Tucker led the  team with three goals scored but it was not enough in the 20-8 loss at SPIRE Institute.

Five other Otters contributed a goal each, including All-WWPA First Team selection Marisa Lovos and second team member Adrianna Craft. Angela Steele, Jessi Boyd-Mankin, and Kylie Wheelock also recorded scores. Morgen Fain collected seven saves in the loss.

Monterey will battle No. 2 Cal State East Bay for third place on Sunday morning. First sprint is set for 6:30 a.m. Pacific Time.
