ROHNERT PARK, Calif. -- The Cal State Monterey Bay women's water polo team traveled to Sonoma State for its 2017 regular season finalé. The Otters looked to avenge their earlier season loss to SSU, but found themselves in a 3-0 hole after the first quarter. CSUMB found the back of the net with two minutes let in the second quarter on
Adrianna Craft's first of two goals in the game, bring MB to within three goals at 4-1. Trailing 5-1, Craft found her second goal of the game as time expired in the half, putting CSUMB within three goals once again.
Sonoma State was able to jump out in front and gain an 8-3 lead with 7:32 remaining in the fourth quarter. CSUMB tried for a late push but their three unanswered goals late in the fourth were not enough as the Otters fell by a score of 8-5.
THE GAME WAS OVER WHEN... Sonoma's Keria Dailey scored a goal to put the Seawolves up 8-3 with 7:46 remaining in the game.
