FINAL BOX SCORE

DAVIS, Calif.-- The Cal State Monterey Bay Women's Water Polo team traveled to Davis on Saturday to play in its final regular season game against the Aggies of UC Davis. After a first half battle, the Otters were unable counter Davis' adjustments leading to a 10–6 loss in the season finalé.

The two teams traded goals throughout the first half ending in a 4–4 tie after the first half. After the break the Otters offense was held quiet, while the Aggies were able to get on top, 7-4, with three goals in the third quarter. Nicole Koorndyk (Claremont HS) and Jessica Laurence (Danville, Calif. / Monte Vista HS) scored in the fourth quarter, but the two goals would not be enough as UC Davis scored three more of its own to hand CSUMB a 10–6 loss.

In addition to Koorndyk and Laurence, four other Otters were able to find the back of the net in the loss. Amanda Jennings (Oakley, Calif. / Freedom HS) recorded 18 saves. CSUMB ends the regular season with a 7–15 record and will play in the WWPA Championship Tournament beginning on Thursday, April 23.
