SEASIDE, Calif. — Cal State Monterey Bay will host its first CCAA home basketball doubleheader of the 2025–26 season this Saturday December 6, when the Otters welcome Cal State San Marcos to the Kelp Bed. The women's game is scheduled for 1 p.m., followed by the men's contest at 3 p.m.

The doubleheader marks an important early conference match up for both programs and provides an opportunity for the campus and local community to support CSUMB student-athletes as they begin CCAA play on their home court.

Game-day promotions will be presented by the Division of Enrollment Management and Student Affairs and will feature in-game music from Otter Media along with performances by the CSUMB Cheer and Dance teams. CSUMB students in attendance will receive free pizza and official logo mini basketball giveaways, while supplies last.

Saturday will also include the program's inaugural Teddy Bear Toss, taking place during halftime of the men's game. Fans are encouraged to bring a new or gently used teddy bear or other plush animal to toss onto the court. All donated items will benefit The SHARE Center, operated by Community Human Services in Salinas.

Admission to all regular-season Otter Athletics home events is free for CSUMB students, faculty, staff, and their families. General spectator tickets are available in advance and at the door online.
