ALL–WWPA WATER POLO TEAMS
SEASIDE, Calif. — A pair of Otters are walking a little taller into the playoffs after earning postseason honors from the Western Water Polo Association Tuesday afternoon. Senior

Nicole Lyckfors (Alameda HS) was named to the WWPA All–Freshman team.
Gates ended the regular season as CSUMB's leader in total points with 40, including a team–best 16 assists to go along with 24 goals. She also stood out in the defensive end of the pool, leading the team in steals (49), field blocks (10) and exclusions drawn (13).
Lyckfors flashed tremendous potential in her first collegiate campaign while playing in all 23 regular season matches. She finished the regular season fourth on the team with 80 shots, 23 goals and 32 points. She chipped in 15 steals and six field blocks as a defender.
"Lucy and Nicole's spots on the all–conference teams are well deserved honors," says CSUMB Head Coach

Gates, Lyckfors and the Otters return to action Friday (Apr. 27) when they open WWPA Championship Tournament play against Mercyhurst College on the campus of UC San Diego in La Jolla. First sprint is scheduled for 4:15 p.m.
