CLAREMONT, Calif. – The Cal State Monterey Bay women's water polo team ended its five-game road trip on a high note on Saturday, recording a 9-6 win over Cal Lutheran before holding on to a 6-5 victory against Chapman University in the Convergence Tournament.

 
"This was a perfect weekend for us," said Head Coach Gary Figueroa. "We had so many valuable lessons in all five of these close games."
 
The Otters dropped two games on the first day of the Convergence Tournament, a heartbreaking 9-8 game to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and falling 11-8 to Pomona-Pitzer.

On Thursday, CSUMB squeezed out a 12-11 victory over Cal State San Bernardino.
 
Junior Amanda Jennings (Oakley/Freedom HS) collected 63 saves along with her two assists and three steals.
 
Freshman Adrianna Craft (Belmont, Mich./Rockford HS) led the Otters with 13 goals and seven steals.  Sophomore Samantha Whitecotton (Roseville/Woodcreek) added eight goals, seven steals and six assists.
