SEASIDE, Calif.
– Junior Ashton Palmer's (Salt Lake City, Utah/Cottonwood HS) last minute goal proved to be the game winner enroute to a 6-5 victory over Concordia-Irvine on a rainy Friday afternoon at The Otter Tank.

With the win, the Otters improve to 2-8 overall while the Eagles drop to 1-12.

Palmer's goal from seven meters out with 47 seconds remaining was CSUMB's first lead of the game.

The Otters trailed 2-0 until a Hail Mary goal by freshman Kylie Wheelock (Clovis HS) in the final seconds of the first half put CSUMB on the board.

The Eagles opened the third quarter with a goal by Meg Dix and CSUMB countered with a 6-on-5 punch goal by junior Jessica Laurence (Danville/Monte Vista HS).

After an Eagle goal, freshman Bree Hogervorst (Ramona/Mountain Valley Academy) closed the third quarter and opened the fourth with a goal including a seven-meter lob that knotted the game at 4-4.

Concordia answered with their final goal of the game by Tayla Walsh.

Freshman Cami Kellogg (Felton/San Lorenzo Valley HS) tied it with a goal off an ejection at 1:57 before Palmer put in the game winner.

Junior Amanda Jennings (Oakley/Freedom HS) racked up 14 saves in the game.

The Otters are back in action next weekend with a stop at Cal State San Bernardino before competing in the Convergence Tournament in Claremont.
