SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The Cal State Monterey Bay women's water polo team dropped a pair on the first day of the UC Santa Barbara Winter Invitational.
The Otters challenged Concordia-Irvine before falling 11-8 in the first game and dropped a 23-2 decision to No. 4 Arizona State.
"Great to be competing," said CSUMB Head Coach
Gary Figueroa. "The score may not show it ,but our Otters are competing and learning."

Adrianna Craft (Belmont, Mich./Rockford HS) nabbed a team-best three goals against CUI.
Splitting time in the net, juniors
Lindsey Catron (Fountain Valley/Fullerton JC) and
Amanda Jennings (Oakley/Freedom HS) combined for 12 saves on the day.
Otters continue play in the UCSB Invitational, taking on No. 3 UCLA (12:30 p.m.) and Azusa Pacific (5:30 p.m.) on Saturday, January 25.
