SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The Cal State Monterey Bay women's water polo team dropped a pair of conference games at the Bronco Invitational hosted by Santa Clara University. The Otters fell late to Cal State East Bay (9-5), followed by a 12-8 decision to UC San Diego in the two teams' first meeting of the season.

GAME 1:
After holding a 3-1 lead after the first quarter, the Otters pushed their lead into the half but the Pioneers made a comeback outscoring the Otters in the third and keeping the Otters from scoring in the final eight minutes.

Junior Alex Tyrrell (Wildomar, CA / Elsinore) led the team with three goals.

GAME 2:
The Otters fought to stay in the game with the Tritons, earning an even scoring outcome from three-of-four quarters.

UC Sand Diego's breakout 5-1 first eight minutes is what gave them the win.

The Otters offense was spread with half of the starting lineup scoring one or more goals.
