SEASIDE, Calif.
– The Cal State Monterey Bay women's water polo team dropped a 10-7 decision to rival Sonoma State on Friday at the Otter Aquatic Center.

Sophomores #Kellie Koorndyk# and #Mandy Enriguez# led the Otters, each scoring two goals. Sophomore #Chloe McRae#, sophomore #Nikki Smart# and senior #Cookie Cuzynski# added a goal apiece.

Sophomore #Kristen Prosser# racked up 13 saves in goal.

“It was a good game overall,” said Otter head coach Gary Figueroa. “Sonoma State played well and we competed from start to finish”

CSUMB travels to Stockton on Saturday to take on Cal State East Bay at 12:30 p.m. and University of the Pacific at 3:30 p.m. The Otters first victory of 2009 was a 9-8 win over the UOP Tigers on Saturday, Feb. 1 in the NorCal Tournament.
