ROHNERT PARK, Calif. – The Cal State Monterey Bay water polo team dropped three heartbreaking games in the Seawolf Splash hosted by Sonoma State over the weekend.

On Saturday, the Otters fell to Cal Lutheran, 10-8, in the opening game of the tournament.

CSUMB suffered an 8-6 loss to Colorado State to begin Sunday's play for the Otters. 

In game two, CSUMB and Sonoma State both played strong defense in the first half with the Otters coming out on top with a 3-2 lead at the break.  The Seawolves exploded in the third quarter, racking up eight goals to take an 11-8 victory.

CSUMB competes in the UC Santa Cruz Slugfest next weekend, beginning with a match-up against Santa Clara University on Saturday, Feb. 28 at 8:00 a.m.  Other teams the Otters will face are Indiana University, University of the Pacific and UC Santa Cruz.
