DAVIS --- #Chelsea Laning# scored 10 goals and led the Cal State Monterey Bay water polo team to two victories on Sunday at the UC Davis Aggies Shootout.

#Jenna Beer# made 12 saves and the Otters overcame an early 3-1 deficit to beat CSU Bernardino 9-7 in their first game. #Erica Bergerson# tied the score 3-3 with 55 seconds left in the half, but the Otters gave up two early goals in the third and trailed 5-3.

CSUMB then rallied, scoring four straight goals to finish the period. Freshman #Nikki Smart# and Laning, a senior, scored two each. Laning scored four goals to lead all scorers in the game. She scored six more in the second match, an 11-9 victory over Colorado State.

Beer made nine saves in the second match and, with her team up 10-5 after three periods, gave way to backup goalie Kristen Prosser.

CSUMB put the game away with five goals in the third period. #Stephanie Salvi# scored two of them and Laning had two as well. The victories improve CSUMB's record to 17-10 overall.
