SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State Monterey Bay track and field program showcased strong individual performances at the CCAA Championships held at the Mangrum Track on the campus of Cal State San Marcos.
On the women's side, senior
Ali Keith finished ninth in the 1,500m finals with a time of 4:44.58, while sophomore
Rachel Hoops delivered a solid fifth-place finish in the 800m (2:16.22).
Sophomore
Hannah Amundsen competed in the 3,000m Steeplechase, placing seventh overall (11:26.43). Additional distance runners
Daniela Munguia and
Angeline Gutierrez competed in the 5,000m, finishing 13th and 16
th, respectively.
The men's distance contingent also made notable contributions. Junior
William Trowbridge finished 10th in the 3,000m Steeplechase (10:00.04). At the same time, juniors
Angel Arciniega and
Jake Walton competed across the longer distance events, with Arciniega placed seventh in the 10,000m (31:22.43) and ninth in the 5,000m (15:04.73).
The Otters finished 10th overall in the women's standings with and 9th in the men's standings.
