Biography
2026 – Cal State Monterey Bay
- Competed in eight meets during the 2026 outdoor track & field season.
- Posted top-five finishes in the 400 meters, 800 meters, and 1,500 meters throughout the season.
- Broke the school record with a time of 2:09.89 in the 800 meters at the APU Franson Last Chance meet.
- Opened the year at the Fresno Pacific Sunbird Invitational, placing fifth in the 800 meters with a time of 2:20.41 and fourth in the 1,500 meters at 4:43.90.
- Finished runner-up in the 800 meters at the Golden Gate Track Fest with a time of 2:17.37.
- Posted a seventh-place finish in the 400 meters at the Wildcat Invitational with a time of 59.30 and also placed fifth in the 1,500 meters at 4:39.55.
- Recorded fifth-place finishes in both the 800 meters and 1,500 meters at the Johnny Mathis Track & Field Meet with times of 2:15.36 and 4:43.60, respectively.
- Competed in the 800 meters, 1,500 meters, and distance medley relay at the Mike Fanelli Track Classic, helping the DMR team place fourth with a time of 12:22.06.
- Posted a fourth-place finish in the 800 meters at the Bryan Clay Invitational with a time of 2:10.97 and also ran 4:43.30 in the 1,500 meters.
- Advanced to the finals in the 800 meters at the CCAA Track & Field Championships, placing fifth with a time of 2:16.22 after running 2:15.86 in prelims.
2025 – Cal State Monterey Bay
- Participated in seven meets
- Set season team best and PR in 800 meters (2:13.58 – Mike Fanelli Track Classic) and 1500 meters (4:38.12 – Hornet Invitational)
- Finished first in the 800 meters in two meets – the Lobo Invitational (2:19.74) and the Wildcat Invitational (2:16.90)
- Finished first in the 4x400 meter relay at the Lobo Invitational with a time of 4:15.81
- Ran season best time in the 4x400 meter relay at the Hornet Invitational with a time of 4:09.15
- Ran season best time in the distance medley relay with a time of 12:41.98 at the Mike Fanelli Track Classic
HIGH SCHOOL
- Attended Aptos High School.
- Ran for Coach Daniel Gruber.
- Helped lead the Mariners to league titles all four years.
- Earned scholar-athlete accolades all four years.
- Garnered MVP honors for every year she competed at her respective grade.
PERSONAL
- Daughter of Thomas and April Austin Hoops.
- Plans to major in kinesiology.
- Upon graduation, she plans to attend the Vluggen Institute of Equine Osteopathy complete my degree there to become a certified equine osteopath.
- Enjoys horseback riding.
