SAN FRANCISCO – The Cal State Monterey Bay track and field team capped off the Golden Gate Track Fest at Cox Stadium with three more CCAA Championship qualifying marks while
Angeline Gutierrez broke the CSUMB 3,000m record.
Gutierrez clocked a 10:17.47 to place seventh. She was closely followed by Daniel Munguia, who crossed the line in ninth with a time of 10:23.02.
In the 3,000m steeple, four Otters posted top-10 finishes.
Hannah Amundsen led the group in fourth with an 11:33.24.
Maya Centeno was sixth at 11:40.26,
Cassidy Andreadakis followed in seventh (11:47.59) and
Cozette Wood posted an 11:59.87 to place eighth.
Rachel Hoops posted a strong performance in the 800m, finishing as the runner-up with a time of 2:17.37.
On the men's side,
Angel Arciniega posted another solid 3,000m, placing ninth with an 8:48.63.
William Trowbridge finished seventh in the steeple with a time of 9:55.20.
The Otters return to the oval next weekend at the Wildcat Invitational at Chico.
