SEASIDE, Calif. – Five Cal State Monterey Bay cross country/track & field student-athletes earned spots on the Academic All-District team as selected by the College Sports Communicators. The organization recognized Danielle and
Taylar Yost,
Natalie Harper,
Mariessa McLaughlin and
Cozette Wood.
In order to be nominated for Academic All-District or Academic All-America® consideration, student-athletes must carry a minimum 3.50 grade point average and compete in at least 90 percent of a team's contests or start at least 66 percent of them.
Danielle Yost showcased a 3.64 GPA in molecular biology and her sister Taylar earned her spot academically with a 3.75 GPA in marine science.
Harper had a 3.89 in liberal studies, McLaughlin is majoring in biology and currently has a 3.53 GPA and classmate Wood has a 3.87 GPA in marine science.
