SEASIDE, Calif.—The regular season begins as the men's and women's cross country teams at Cal State Monterey Bay run in the USF Invitational tomorrow morning. The women's race is slated for a 9:30 a.m. start while the men follow with a 10:15 a.m. horn. The course itself is at Speedway Meadow in Golden Gate Park off of John F. Kennedy Drive, in San Francisco.
Among the field are three CCAA foes in Sonoma State, Cal State Stanislaus, and Cal State East Bay. Otters head coach
Greg Rhines believes this will be a year that could see his team make even more strides. “We begin another season of upward mobilization, chasing those once unreachable programs.”
It's an event the Otters have been looking forward to after a couple weeks of strong training at #CampMB. "The teams are very close to a 'payday' event. All the summer training, coupled with all the limits each team member has faced, gets to begin letting out this Saturday at Golden Gate Park,” said Rhines.
