Otters Impress in Season Debut

CSUMB gets a preview of conference foes

September 07, 2024

FRESNO – The Cal State Monterey Bay cross country team opened its season in impressive fashion at the CCAA Preview/Seawolf Invitational held at Woodward Park.

"I am really happy for both of the teams," head coach Greg Rhines said. "The third and second place finishes are simply awesome, and I won't even talk about the heat. We have many new faces that were thrown into the fire today. And a big 'wow' given to the returners, big time performances. Another strong year, here we come."

The women finished third overall and were led by Ali Keith. The junior was the top finisher for the Otters, crossing the 5k course in sixth with a time of 18:49.75. Cassidy Andreadakis followed in 11th with a time of 19:09.39.
