BILLINGS – The Cal State Monterey Bay cross country team closed out its season with an 18
th place showing on the men's side and a 21
st place finish in the women's competition at in the NCAA Regional at Amend Park.
"Both teams had very strong seasons," head coach
Greg Rhines said. "We had many impressive performances throughout the fall. The best part about being the head coach here at CSU Monterey Bay are the student-athletes, they are simply awesome! These teams are young, with big futures coming for all of them next season!"
Senior
Jaime Gonzalez paced the Otters with a 10k time of 32:30.56 to place 72
nd overall. Newcomer
Erik Bromley was 96
th at 33:04.05 and junior
Alex Fernandes closely followed in 99
th with a time of 33:08.52.
Sophomore
Cameron Cornforth was 117
th overall with a time of 33:50.30 and classmate
Jake Walton was right behind in 119
th with a 33:56.95.
Alexis Lorenzana rounded out the Otter men in 134
th with a time of 34:43.30.
Junior
Ali Keith once again led the women, placing 85
th with a 6k time of 22:58.81. Sophomore
Cassidy Andreadakis was 100
th, crossing the line at 23:15.14.
Sophomore
Cozette Wood was 108
th with a time of 23:25.36 and classmate
Daniela Munguia finished 121
st at 23:37.86.
Newcomers
Hannah Amundsen (24:04.21) and
Rachel Hoops (24:43.97) capped off the Otter harriers in 141
st and 157
th, respectively.
