SEASIDE, Calif. – Cal State Monterey Bay women's water polo freshman Stella Martin (Fresno, Calif./Clovis West HS) has been named the WWPA Offensive Player of the Week, the organization announced Thursday. The honor is a career-first and the second on the season overall for the Otters.

The Fresno native ignited the CSUMB offense this past weekend as she was credited with 12 assists over the two road matches at Fresno Pacific and UC Merced.
 
Against the Sunbirds in the WWPA opener, Martin assisted on all five Otter scores before dishing out a season-high seven and adding a goal against the Bobcats.
 
The newcomer paces the Otters with 47 points on 11 goals and 36 assists. Her 36 total assists and 2.1 assists-per-game are both the best in the WWPA.

CSUMB returns to the Otter Tank for their WWPA home opener against Cal State East Bay on Saturday, March 16. First sprint is slated for 1 p.m.
