SEASIDE, Calif. – Cal State Monterey Bay senior defender Jennifer Limon was named to the 2024 Division 2 Conference Commissioners Association Women's Soccer West Region first-team, the organization announced Tuesday.
 
Limon became the first Otter in program history to be named the CCAA Defender of the Year. The San Jose native started all 19 matches and logged a team-high 1,676 minutes. Limon tallied three points on a goal and an assist.
 
The Otters began the season with only two goals allowed in their first seven matches. They would go on to allow only 12 in 19 games. As a team, CSUMB showcased a .63 goals against average. The 12 goals allowed ranked second in the conference.
 
CSUMB allowed one goal or less in all but two matches. Limon scored her lone goal against UC Merced and handed out an assist the next game at San Francisco State.
 
The Otters reached the CCAA Tournament for the first time in team history, taking down Cal State LA by penalty kicks in the opening round to advance to the semifinals.
