FINAL STROKE PLAY ROUND RESULTS
MEDAL/MATCH PLAY SEMIFINAL RESULTS
CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. -- Cal State Monterey Bay men's golf team started the day in sixth place looking to make a move to get into the top four and advance to the semifinals. The Otters not only gained ground and moved into fourth place but were able to knock off the first place Chico State in the semifinal round of medal/match play and earn a birth in the CCAA Final on Wednesday against Stanislaus State.
The Otters shot a round-low 292 in Tuesday's final round of stroke play including rounds of 72, 72, and 73 from
Matthew Hedges, Elis Svard, and
Martin Westerlund, respectively, to boost the Otters into the final spot.
In the semifinal of medal/match play, CSUMB beat Chico State 3-1-1 by getting wins from Svard (72), Westerlund (77) and
Edward Hackett (75).
Monterey Bay will battle Stanislaus State in the final of medal/match play. The Warriors defeated Cal State East Bay to secure a spot in Wednesday's round. Shotgun start will take place at 7:30 p.m.
