Two Otters Finish In Top 10 At Coyote Classic

Huang finishes 6th, Germain 10th; Otters finish 2nd

LEADERBOARD | TEAM-BY-TEAM RESULTS

BEAUMONT, Calif. — Two Otters earned Top 10 finishes to lead the Cal State Monterey Bay men's golf team to a second place finish Tuesday at Oak Valley Golf Club.

Senior Colin Huang (Corona Del Mar HS) earned his third Top 10 finish of the season by placing sixth overall at 1-under 215. Sophomore Simon Germain (Lyon, France) joined him in the Top 10 by tying for 10th place at 1-over. It was Germain's second Top 10 finish.

Freshmen Ben Christian (Dexter, Mo./Southern Indiana) and Zaid Khan (Sacramento, Calif.) earned Top 20 finishes, with Khan placing 16th at 2-over and Christian 20th at plus four.

Led by that quartet, the Otters finished second in the 13-team field at 2-under 862. Host Cal State San Bernardino one the event at 843. CCAA rival Chico State finished one behind of the Otters at 863.

The Otters will take the next two weeks off before closing the regular season at The Hanny hosted by Stanislaus State Apr. 13-14 at Turlock Golf and Country Club.
