Otter Men’s Golf Head to NCAA Tournament

Otters making their 17th appearance in NCAA Regional

SEASIDE, Calif. — The Cal State Monterey Bay men's golf team will be making its 17th appearance at the NCAA West/South Central Regional May 7-9, the NCAA announced Sunday afternoon. The event will take place at The Reserve at Spanos Park in Stockton.

The Otters now have advanced to the NCAA Regional in every year since they first became eligible back in 2008. They will enter next week's tournament as one of 20 qualifying teams and the No. 7 seed out of the West.

The top six teams at the regional will advance to the NCAA National Championship Tournament at Boulder Creek Golf Club outside of Las Vegas, Nev. CSUMB is looking to advance for the ninth time overall and the first time since 2023.

"This has been a down year but the standards at CSUMB are high," saqys CSUMBn Head Coach Jason Owen. "I still believe we have some great golf ahead of us."

The Otters have one three NCAA Regional titles (2011, 2013 and 2015) and one NCAA National Championship (2011). They'll be shooting for their second tournament championship of the season after winning the Dennis Rose Invitational back in October.
