OTTERS at STANISLAUS HIGHLIGHTS
TURLOCK, Calif. — The road continues to be a harsh mistress to the Cal State Monterey Bay volleyball team, which fell in three sets at Stanislaus State Friday night, 25–21, 25–23, 25–23.
The Otters dropped to 0–6 on the road this season and 0–8 dating back to October of last season.
Jessica Malcolm (Lodi HS) led all attackers with 16 kills, but it wasn't enough to overcome a shaky attack that gifted Stanislaus an entire set worth of points by making 25 hitting errors in just three sets. The Otters actually out–killed the Warriors 43–36 in the match.
Senior setter
Leana Moleta (Palmdale/Paraclete HS) dished a career–high 31 assists while freshman middle blocker
Chandler McKean (Visalia/Redwood HS) put down the first two kills of her collegiate career.
The Otters will conclude their 3–match trip up and down the spine of California with a match at Chico State Saturday night. They return to The Kelp Bed to host UC San Diego Oct. 15.
GO OTTERS!
