SEASIDE, Calif. – A five-run first inning set the tone in the series finale as the Cal State Monterey Bay baseball team dropped a 13-3 decision to visiting Cal State Dominguez Hills on Sunday, March 30.

The Toros would take a 13-run lead before the Otters put up three runs in the eighth inning.

Sophomore Matt Urakami drew his second walk of the day to lead off the eighth.  Sophomore Andres Coll followed with single through the left side and senior Richie Johnson loaded the bases after being hit by a pitch.  Senior Cannon Bernarding sent the ball deep to left field as Urakami tagged up and scored.  Junior Noah Graham singled and advanced to second on the throw home that missed Coll touching the plate.  Freshman Josh Heinz sac flied to right for the final Otter run.

CSUDH's Kamran Young hit a three-run home run in the fourth and Bubby Rossman crushed a grand slam in the eighth.

The Otters have a bye weekend before resuming April 11-13 with a split series against Cal State East Bay.
