Biography

As a Redshirt Junior in 2013 at San Jose State: Played in 25 games and made 18 starts in the infield...started two games at second base in the 2013 WAC Tournament in Grand Prairie, Texas...batted .231 with eight runs and six RBI...a two-run single up the middle in the regular-season finale proved to be one of SJSU's most timely hits of the season that helped win the game and clinch a spot in the WAC Tournament...1-for-1 with a two-run double against UT Arlington (4/14)...7-for-15 (.467) against left-handed pitching.

As a Redshirt Sophomore in 2012 at San Jose State: Played in 11 games...had three RBIs and scored three times during the season...carried a .385 on-base percentage and .444 slugging percentage...hit a two-RBI triple in his season debut and scored twice after entering the game as a pinch runner in the Spartans' 20-8 win over Brown (March 28)...drew three walks on the year...stole a base at Louisiana Tech (May 6)...Had a pinch-hit single against Hawai'i on April 21...drove in a run during the Spartans' last turn at bat of the season with a pinch-hit sacrifice fly.

As a Sophomore in 2011 at San Jose State: Redshirt season

As a Freshman in 2010 at San Jose State: Made 24 appearances with 20 starts at shortstop...Batted .286 with eight runs scored and five RBIs in his rookie season...San Jose State career debut came in a substitution appearance against rival Santa Clara on March 5...first career start came at Wichita State on April 23...got his first career hit the next day at Wichita State (April 24), as well as his first run scored and RBI with a 2-for-4 day at the plate...carried a .333 on-base percentage and slugged .314...posted eight multi-hit games during the season, including a career-best 3-for-5 with two doubles, a run scored and an RBI versus Fresno State (May 27) in the WAC Tournament...had a career-high six at-bats with two hits at Nevada (May 9)...hit safely in five of six games from May 9-16 with four multi-hit games.

HIGH SCHOOL:  Lettered three years in baseball…Rawlings/Perfect Game Preseason California Region All-High School Senior Team honorable mention in 2009... All-Hayward Area Athletic League first-team and All-East Bay honoree second-team in each of his last two seasons...HAAL Player of the Year as a senior, when he guided Arroyo to marks of 18-8 overall and 13-3 in league play...led the team in hitting for a second straight year at .449 (35-for-78), with team highs of 35 runs, 35 hits, seven doubles and six triples, to go along with one home run and 22 RBI in 25 games...as a junior, batted .444 with nine doubles among his 37 hits, 37 runs and 29 RBI for the North Coast Section finalist Dons...was among 40 juniors from around the state, alongside current teammate Zack Jones on the North squad, invited to participate in the 39th annual California Baseball Coaches' Association North-South Junior Showcase Series at Santa Clara University, June 14-15, 2008.

PERSONAL: Earned his bachelor’s degree in sociology at San Jose State in the May of 2013.
