CSUMB fans who download the Enthuse app will have even more to cheer about with the opportunity to earn rewards just for following their favorite Otter teams.
SEASIDE, Calif. — Cal State Monterey Bay fans continue to enjoy the fruits of Otter Athletics' cutting edge digital media efforts as CSUMB becomes the first NCAA Division II program to partner with Enthuse to create a loyalty rewards program for Otter backers.
Enthuse is a mobile application that rewards fans for engaging with their favorite sports teams. CSUMB fans can earn points simply by doing things such as checking in at games, watching the Otters on TV, following Otter games online, wearing their Otter gear and sharing photos that show their Otter spirit. They soon will be able to earn points for engagement on Twitter and Facebook.
“We are fortunate to be a partner with Enthuse and look forward to growing the number of rewards that will be exclusive to our fans -- for their loyalty and social media engagement,” says CSUMB Director of Athletics Vince Otoupal. “This is all about making the fan experience around Otter Athletics exciting and first class.”
Points may be redeemed for exclusive CSUMB rewards such as Otter gear and offers from local businesses. Fans also have the ability to use their points on Enthuse rewards from a host of national partners, including a chance to walk the red carpet at the ESPY Awards.
“We have been working back and forth with Enthuse since last spring,” says CSUMB Assistant Athletics Director Kirby Garry, who spearheads the project. “The time, effort and resources they continue to put into making the Enthuse app a simple, fun (and rewarding) experience for fans has been impressive to follow.”
CSUMB joins a growing list of collegiate programs such as Miami, North Carolina, Butler and the America East Conference to team with Enthuse for their fan loyalty rewards program. Otter fans can come onboard by downloading the Enthuse app from the iTunes Store (iPhone) or Google Play Store (Android) then searching for Monterey Bay Otters within the app.
