SEASIDE, Calif. - The Cal State Monterey Bay women's water polo team continues play in the Otter Tank with a Friday match hosting WWPA opponent Sonoma State before a quick trip down to Bakersfield where they will play in the Roadrunner Invitational hosted by Cal State Bakersfield, Sunday, Mar. 25. The Otters look to take on La Verne and Hartwick.
ABOUT LAST WEEK: CSUMB set a pace that UCSC was not able to keep up with., with a season-high seven goals in the first quarter. All 18 CSUMB players saw playing time against the Banana Slugs, with eight Otters tallying one or more goals. Junior
Alex Tyrrell threw a single game season-high seven assists, in addition to her three goals. Senior
Nikki Smart led the Otters in goals with six.

Amanda Jennings leads the team in total saves, and earned her 100th blocked shot at Cal State East Bay. Sophomore teammate
Paige Robinson has racked up a total of 87 saves in the 2012 season thus far, surpassing her 2011 season total of 67.
WWPA STANDINGS BREAKDOWN: After pushing through the half way point in this year's regular season schedule, CSUMB remains in the top half of the WWPA. The Otters (11-10, 2-5 WWPA) are one of only five teams playing at or above 500. Sitting amoung the likes of No. 6 Loyola Marymount, No. 19 UC San Diego, No. 20 Cal State Bakersfield, and Cal State East Bay.
OTTER PLAYMAKER: Junior
Jackie Walters has been the team leader in assists so far this season, compiling a total 32 respectively. Walters recorded a single game season-high of four assists twice this season (Santa Clara on Feb. 4 and Claremont on March 2 @CSUSB).
