CARSON, Calif. – Capping off its best season to date, the Cal State Monterey Bay baseball team ended its 2011 campaign with a 6-3 victory over Cal State Dominguez Hills at Toro Field Sunday afternoon.
The Otters (21-28, 18-22 CCAA)) set a program record for wins in a season with Saturday's nightcap win, then upped the new mark by one with the victory today to split the series with the Toros. CSUMB also won a program-best 18 California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) games this season.
“I could not be more proud of this group of guys, and they have a lot to be proud of as well,” said first-year coach
Walt White. “These guys have set the foundation for a very bright future here. Coming off a difficult 2010 season, this team learned how to compete together, believe in each other, and play selfless baseball. We grew as a team throughout the year.”

The Toros made it 2-1 in their side of the frame on Medina's RBI double down the right line.
CSUDH put up two runs on three hits in the third inning to take a 3-2 lead.
