SEASIDE, Calif. — Cal State Monterey Bay Athletics has released its 2024–25 Annual Report, highlighting a year of record-setting academic success, championship performances, expanded community engagement, and national recognition for the Otters.
The annual report showcases the strength of CSUMB's 14 intercollegiate athletics programs including a cumulative GPA of 3.33, four CCAA Player of the Year honors, and a historic SportsCenter #1 Top 10 play that propelled Otter Athletics onto a national stage. It also details major philanthropic gifts, a refreshed brand identity, and growing partnerships that support the department's bold vision for the future.

Highlights from the 2024–25 Report Include:
- 3.33 Cumulative GPA (Above CCAA and NCAA DII averages)
- 118 student-athletes earned Conference All-Academic honors
- 4 CCAA Players of the Year and 3 Academic All-Americans
- CCAA Championships in Baseball and postseason appearances across multiple sports
- National attention with 10M+ views of KW Quilici's SportsCenter Top 10 #1 Play
- Launch of a new Otter Athletics brand identity
- $400,000 in philanthropic gifts and new sponsorships
The report also celebrates the department's growing community impact, with student-athletes participating in more than 20 service projects across Monterey County, and CSUMB's signature "Dive Into the Kelp Bed" spirit event drawing record attendance.
As the department continues to pursue its goal of becoming the premier collegiate athletics brand in the Monterey Bay region and a recognized NCAA Division II leader, the annual report serves as a milestone moment and a springboard for the year ahead.
