Berg von Linde Named Academic All-District

Senior golfer advances to the CSC Academic All-America ballot

June 17, 2025

SEASIDE, Calif. — Cal State Monterey Bay senior golfer Wilhelm Berg von Linde (Stockholm, Sweden), added to the Otter awards list by earning Academic All-District At-Large honors from the College Sports Communicators Tuesday.

To earn the award, student-athletes must be at least sophomores who meet specific athletic qualifications while maintaining a minimum 3.50 grade point average.

Berg von Linde concluded his collegiate playing career as a 2-time All-CCAA and 2-time GCAA/Ping All-West Region performer. He finished his senior season with a 72.23 stroke average, three Top 10 finishes and a head-to-head winning percentage of .752. His career stroke average of 72.11 is the second-lowest in CSUMB history.

In the classroom, he graduated CSUMB in May with his bachelor's degree in business administration and a 3.82 grade point average. He is the fifth Otter to earn CSC Academic All-District honors and the first since Max Grieb and Elise Svard in 2020.

Berg von Linde is one of just five CCAA and nine NCAA Division II West Region student-athletes who qualified to advance to the Academic All-America® ballot. The CSC Academic All-America® At-Large team will be announced on July 9.
