FINAL RESULTS

TURLOCK, Calif. — Wilhelm Berg von Linde (Stockholm, Sweden) and Colin Huang (Newport Beach/Corona Del Mar HS) used fifth place finishes to help No. 24 Cal State Monterey Bay close its regular season schedule by winning the Hanny Stanislaus Invitational championship Tuesday afternoon at Turlock Golf and Country Club.

Senior Simon Björken (Hudiksval, Sweden) joined Berg von Linde and Huang at 3-under Tuesday as the Otters closed the tournament with a 7-under 281. That left them 18-under for the event, two strokes better than No. 38 Chico State. Western Washington (-14), No. 18 Cal State East Bay (-8) and No. 38 Stanislaus State (-2) completed the top five in the 15-team field.

"This was a very important win for us," said CSUMB Head Coach Jason Owen. "We didn't play our best, but we battled and, as a coach, that's all you can ask for."

Berg von Linde and Huang both finished 6-under to claim their shares of fifth place. Björken's 3-under Tuesday vaulted him up 11 spots to seventh place, his fifth Top 10 finish in nine events this season. Tommy Kimberling (Rancho Cucamonga/Los Osos HS) carded a final round 71 to earn his own Top 20 finish by placing 18th.

The Otters return to action next week when they begin defense of their California Collegiate Athletic Association title at the 2025 CCAA Championship Tournament. Play kicks off Monday (Apr. 21) at Sandpiper Golf Club in Santa Barbara.
