SEASIDE, Calif. – Cal State Monterey Bay senior guard Ella Doherty (Powmill, Scotland/Kinross HS) was named All-CCAA Honorable Mention the league office announced when the annual awards were unveiled.
 
Doherty started all 23 games she played and paced the Otters with 12.8 points per game. She also recorded 5.4 rebounds per game and shot at a team-high 47-percent clip.
 
The Scotland native poured in 37 points against Lincoln University, which was the second highest single-game scoring performance in program history.
 
Doherty recorded double-digits in points in 15 contests, including 12 in a row to begin her lone season in an Otter uniform. She recorded four 20-plus point performances and pulled down 10-or-more rebounds on three occasions.
 
The transfer from Toledo was twice named the CCAA Player of the Week, earning the accolade for her play on Nov. 11-17 and Dec. 9-15.
