PUEBLO, Colo. - The Cal State Monterey Bay women's golf team finished 15th place at 63-over after the 36-hole NCAA West Preview held at the Pueblo Country Club. The Otters improved in the second and final round, carding a 28-over.

"The best part of our team play today was improvement from yesterday's round," CSUMB head coach Jim Ragan said. "We have a talented young team and these tournaments are part of the learning process. I know with some hard work, the results will come. Cathy bounced back and had a nice top-20 finish. We are looking forward to getting back home and getting to work."

Senior Cathy Tong fired a final round 3-over 74 to place 19th overall at 11-over for the tournament. 

Sophomore Morgan Pittman carded a 5-over 76 to post a 36-hole score of 14-over to finish 38th. Pittman led the Otters with three birdies on the day. Classmate Rori Fanning placed 63rd at 18-over after posting a final round score of 11-over 82.

The freshman duo of Khivi Kaur and Audrey Cheng rounded out the Otters. Kaur placed 91st at 25-over and Cheng carded a 28-over to finish 100th. 

CSUMB will close out its fall slate at the East Bay Fall Invitational. The tournament will take place at the Stonebrae Country Club and begin on Monday, Oct. 27.
