CHICO, Calif. – Cal State Monterey Bay center Charles Johnston was named to the All-CCAA second team, the conference office announced on Wednesday.

Johnston paced the CCAA with 10.7 rebounds per game and broke the CSUMB single-season rebounding record with 278 on the year.

The Sydney, Australia native averaged 13 points per game and led the Otters with 19 blocks. Johnston posted 13 double-doubles that included a 20-point, 21-rebound performance in the second game of the season against Western Oregon.

The 6-11 center scored 10 or more points 20 times, including four 20-plus-point outbursts. He also recorded double-digit rebounds 14 times.

During conference play, Johnston averaged 12.5 points and 10.4 rebounds in 20 games.
