Regular Season CCAA Baseball Champion Otters to Host Conference Championship Tournament

Tournament to kick off May 10 and run through May May 13 at the Otter Sports Complex

SEASIDE, CALIF. -- Otters Baseball continues to to prove that they are one of the top teams in the CCAA. With the team's 32nd win of the season this past weekend, they secured their second consecutive CCAA title. Now, the Otters will have the chance to win their first-ever CCAA Tournament title in front of the home crowd, as the Otters will host the 2023 CCAA Baseball Championship Tournament May 10-13 at the Otter Sports Complex. 

The tournament kicks off May 10 with a pair of play-in games. But the Otters, who finished atop the conference standings with a 30-10 CCAA record, have already secured a first-round bye and will begin their quest for the conference championship in double-elimination play on Thursday, May 11. Joining the Otters with a first round bye are the second seeded Cal State San Bernardino Coyotes. Also, qualifying for the tournament are the third seeded Cal State East Bay Pioneers, the fourth seeded Cal Poly Pomona Broncos, the fifth seeded San Francisco State Gators and the sixth seeded Stanislaus State Warriors. All spectators must purchase tickets for admission to the ballpark, as this is a CCAA postseason event. Through the CCAA Cares program, the CCAA will provide 10 percent of the net ticket revenue to the SAAC program at each hosting institution for them to donate to their non-profit charity of choice. CSUMB SAAC has selected for these proceeds to go to the CSUMB Basic Needs Program

The Otter Sports Complex is located at 4113 2nd Ave, Seaside, CA 93955, in the southwest corner of the CSUMB campus. Directions to campus and campus maps can be found here.

"We're excited and proud to host the best six teams in the conference on our campus," said CSUMB Athletics Director Kirby Garry. "It's a bonus that we're the number one team in the conference and have home-field advantage."
