Otters Move Up To Seventh Place Finish At The Hanny

Liam Allder, Simon Björken earn Top 20 finishes

TURLOCK, Calif. — Led by Top 20 finishes from sophomores Liam Allder (Sundsvall, Sweden) and Simon Björken (Hudiksval, Sweden), Cal State Monterey Bay moved up one spot to a seventh place finish at Tuesday's final round of The Hanny at Turlock Golf and Country Club.

Allder carded a 78 Tuesday and finished 15th overall at 5–over 222. Björken shot 74 and moved up six places to a 17th place finish at 6–over.

Sophomore Jack Deaner (Carmichael/Jesuit HS) posted CSUMB's low round Tuesday with a 73 and finished 33rd 9–over. Henrik Heyerdahl (Oslo, Norway) recorded the final scoring round with a 78.

The Otters carded a collective 303 as team scores were up across the board in the soggy conditions when no team in the 16–team field shooting in the red Tuesday. Western Washington finished the final round a 10–over 298 and one the title by 10 strokes over Simon Fraser University.

WWU's Jordan Lee finished the tournament at 4–under 212 to take medalist honors.

CSUMB will take next week off from competition before closing its regular season schedule at the SSU Regional Preview Tournamenty Apr. 10–11 at Foxtail Gof Course in Rohnert Park.
