Otter Women's Basketball Notebook vs. Cal State Dominguez Hills

Note: No fans allowed at Otter home games through the end of January, 2022

SEASIDE, Calif. — The Cal State Monterey Bay women's basketball team will take the court for the first time since Dec. 11 when it hosts Cal State Dominguez Hills Saturday (Jan. 15) in The Kelp Bed. The Otters will play with no fans in attendance, however, as new campus guidelines mandate no fans at Otter home athletic events through the end of January.

Fans will be able to watch online on the CCAA Network (CCAANetwork.com/csumb) with Rob Ponce calling the action. 

When last CSUMB played, Cal State L.A. raced to a 10–0 lead and the Otters never caught all the way up as L.A. took a 76–60 decision in The Kelp Bed on Dec. 11. Lauryn Pointer and Frances Potts led CSUMB with 15 points apiece. Tricia Delph pulled down a season–high 12 rebounds to help the Otters earn a 46–36 edge on the boards.

Cal State Dominguez Hills saw its 3–game winning streak snapped Thursday in a 59–57 loss at San Francisco State. The last time the Toros and Otters met, Camille Parker posted an 11–point, 12–rebound double–double to help the Otters complete a sweep of the L.A./Dominguez Hills trip with a 67–58 win in The Torodome on Feb. 8, 2020. Chyna Dews and Sylvia Vartazarian led the offense with 14 points apiece. Ahlisha Henderson and Destinee Williams led the Toros with 13 and 11 points respectively.
