CARSON, Calif. — The Cal State Monterey Bay women's basketball team continued its strong run of recent play Saturday by completing a weekend sweep in Southern California with a 67–58 win over Cal State Dominguez Hills in The Torodome.

The Otters' Southern California stars came to play in this one, with Camille Parker (Alta Loma HS) posting a double–double (11 points/12 rebounds) and a career–high six assists to lead the way. Sylvia Vartazarian (Glendale HS) and Chyna Dews (Venice HS) shared game–high scoring honors with 14 points apiece. Freshman Katie Fitzgerald (Mater Dei HS) added 10 points, seven rebounds and five assists.

The Otters never trailed Saturday. They gained separation by closing the first half with an 11–2 run to take a 29–18 lead. They extended their advantage to as many as 19 points several times in the second half before a late Toro run made things tighter at the end.

THE GAME WAS STATISTICALLY OVER WHEN… Camille Parker made the first of two free throws with 25 seconds remaining to give the Otters a 64–56 lead.

HOW SWEEP IT IS, PART I… The Otters completed their first weekend sweep of the season by defeating Cal State L.A. (68–61) and Cal State Dominguez Hills (67–58). It's CSUMB's first weekend sweep in CCAA play since beating San Francisco State and Sonoma State Feb. 6–7, 2015. It's CSUMB's first road sweep in CCAA play since defeating Cal Poly Pomona (Feb. 16) and Humboldt State (Feb. 18) during the 2012–13 season.

HOW SWEEP IT IS, PART II… The women weren't the only Otter basketball team that got the brooms out this weekend as the men also swept the Cal State L.A./Cal State Dominguez Hills trip. It's the first time the Otters combined to win all four games in a weekend since they both defeated UC San Diego and Cal State East Bay Dec. 3–4, 2010.

HOW SWEEP IT IS, PART III… The CSUMB men and women combined to sweep a weekend roadtrip for the first time in the history of Otter basketball.

DOUBLE DOUBLE–DOUBLE… Camille Parker recorded her second double–double of the season with 11 points and 12 rebounds in Saturday's 67–58 win at Cal State Dominguez Hills. She is responsible for seven of CSUMB's 10 double–doubles of the past two seasons.

A THIEF IN BROAD DAYLIGHT… Camille Parker added four steals to her collection this weekend — including three Saturday at Dominguez Hills — to move past Jenna Bandy (2011–15) and Lisa Mispley (2003–04) into 13th place on the Otter career steals list with 85.

PARKER ON THE REBOUND… With 12 boards in Saturday's win at Dominguez Hills, Camille Parker tied Julie Heurung for the No. 8 spot on the Otter career rebounding list with 416 rebounds.
