LA JOLLA, Calif. – The Cal State Monterey Bay baseball team gave up four runs in the first inning to host UC San Diego and ended up falling to the Tritons, 10-2, Friday in the first game of a four game CCAA series at Triton Ballpark.
 
The Otters, who were limited to six hits on the evening, got two runs on Noah Graham's (Aliso Viejo/Saddleback JC) single after Will Rosado (Clovis/Fresno CC) got a leadoff single followed by a Ty Morris (Royal Oaks/North Monterey County HS) double.
 
CSUMB dropped to 9-15 overall and 6-11 in conference while UCSD improved to 12-6, 9-4 in league play.  The two teams play a doubleheader on Saturday, March 15 at noon. 
 
The Tritons were paced by Justin Donatella who threw six shutout innings, relinquishing only two hits while striking out seven. Nick La Face went 3-for-3 with four RBIs and one run.
