BOX SCORE SEASIDE, Calif. – The Cal State Monterey Bay women's soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision when Cal State Dominguez Hills scored in the final 10 minutes of Friday's conference game at the Otter Sports Complex.
"We played very well at times, but need to play the whole 90 minutes," said CSUMB Head Coach
Erin Reinke. "It was a tough loss but we will continue to learn to get better as a team.
"We win, we lose, and tie as a team."
CSUDH's Olivia Patterson put the Toros on the board at the 6:01 mark on a cross from Gabrielle Pena that she punched to the middle of the net.

Jami Murray (Newbury/City College of San Francisco) on the near post. Murray racked up her third goal of the season.
The second half was evenly matched with both teams getting four shots, but the Toros knocked in the game-winner in the 81st minute on a breakaway lead pass by Kristen Osuna that found Jayma Martin.
The Toros (3-2-0, 2-1-0) outshot the Otters by a 13-7 margin, however, CSUMB had a 9-3 advantage on corner kicks.
Junior
Lily Garza (Redwood City/City College of San Francisco)got her first start in goal for the season, recording five saves.
"I thought Lily did well today," Reinke said. "She stepped up and made some huge saves to keep us in the game."
The Otters (2-3-0, 1-2-0) conclude their five-game homestand Sunday, hosting Cal State L.A. at 11:30 a.m.
