BOX SCORE LOS ANGELES – A complete-game two-hitter by Cal State L.A.'s Jordan Sechler brought Cal State Monterey Bay baseball team's offense to a screeching halt Friday in the series opener with the Golden Eagles recording a 4-0 victory.

The lone two Otter hits were singles by junior Victor Rasor-Thompson (San Diego, Calif./Univ. of San Diego) and senior Jason Merjano (San Ramon, Calif./Sierra College) in the first and third innings respectively.

Junior Chris Daniels (Citrus Heights, Calif./Sierra College) had a solid outing, scattering seven hits and walking one while allowing three runs over seven innings.

The Golden Eagles opened up with a run in the first inning and didn't score again until the sixth when they notched two.  CSULA's Cody Doyle, who went 2-for-4 with three RBIs, doubled down the right line for an insurance run in the eighth.

CSUMB will return to action with a doubleheader at CSULA beginning at 1 p.m.
