SEASIDE, Calif.
– The Cal State Monterey Bay baseball team concluded its non-conference schedule Tuesday with a 3-1 victory over Fresno Pacific at the Otter Sports Complex.

“We received great pitching performances today, along with a couple timely, clutch hits and that was the difference in the ballgame,” said CSUMB Head Caoch Walt White.  “We were able to play a lot of guys today and we came away with another great team win.”

Junior right-hander Jonas Noack (San Diego, Calif./UOP) (1-0) went a pre-determined 4.0 innings, giving up three hits and a run, while striking out six.  Junior Jacob Crose (Simi Valley, Calif./Simi Valley HS), followed by junior Dylan Auker (San Jose, Calif./VCU) did not allow a run in the final five innings.  Auker retired the side in order in the ninth to pick up the save.

“Noack was outstanding today,” White said. “He continues to get better and I can see him pitching some significant innings as our season progresses. Gemgnani was solid behind the plate and delivered a big two-out double that gave us an early lead.”

The Otters found themselves down 1-0 in the first after FPU scored on Michael Vaughn's double.
