SEASIDE, Calif. — Cal State Monterrey Bay is proud to announce that Russell Athletic is now the “Official Team Apparel” provider for the Otter softball and baseball programs through 2014.

“Otter Athletics is very excited about our new deal with Russell, says CSUMB Director of Athletics Vince Otoupal. “Russell is an established brand and this partnership continues to demonstrate our commitment to excellence.”

The all-inclusive outfitting agreement, which began July 1, gives Russell Brands, a subsidiary of Fruit of the Loom, exclusive rights as uniform provider for the two diamond sports, as well its coaches, in addition to a presence in of licensed apparel at the university bookstore and event concessions.

The deal runs for five years and is valued at more than $50,000. In addition, the teams can earn incentives for postseason accomplishments, including qualifying for conference, NCAA Regional and NCAA World Series appearances.

Other elements of the agreement include permanent signage as the “Official Team Apparel of CSUMB Softball and Baseball” at game and practice facilities, as well as additional shared branding opportunities.
