CSUMB Falls To No. 10 Humboldt State

SEASIDE, Calif.
- The Cal State Monterey Bay men's basketball team dropped a 76-68 decision to No. 10 Humboldt State on Saturday night at the Kelp Bed.

The Otters fall to 9-15 overall and 7-13 in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) action while the first-seeded Lumberjacks improve to 22-2, 18-2 in conference play.

Sophomore #Davion Berry# scored a team-high 30 points while dishing out three assists. Senior #Warren Freeman# contributed eight points and sophomore #Derrick Anderson# added seven points. #James Thomas Jr.#  dropped a career-high six points.

The Otters trailed 41-33 at the break.

CSUMB cut the gap to 70-68 on a 3-pointer by Thomas at 3:19 but the Jacks answered with two straight buckets. Free throws down the stretch clinched the victory for Humboldt State.

The Lumberjacks had five players reach double-digits with Randy Hunter leading the pack with 17 points. Brian Morris added 16 points. 

The Otters host Chico State on Thursday, Feb. 24 at 7:30 p.m.
