SEASIDE, Calif. – The Cal State Monterey Bay baseball team dropped a 10-5 decision to Fresno Pacific on Friday afternoon at Otter Baseball Field.
The Otters fall to 1-4 while the Sunbirds move up to 4-3 on the season.
Sophomore #Alex Mangubat# recorded CSUMB's first home run of the season, a three-run blast over the left field in the first inning. Sophomore #Danny Nelson# went 2-for-5, driving in three runs. Senior #Greg Fujii# finished with two doubles and a run.
Junior #Aaron Appino# took the loss after 3.1 innings of work, allowing five runs on eight hits. FPU's Aaron Lynn threw six innings to notch the win.
The Otters and Sunbirds face off in a doubleheader on Saturday, Feb. 12 with a 11 a.m. start time.
